Peacocks
The famous peacocks, with their brightly colored plumage, are strolling through the park.
You're sure to run into some, so give them a nice smile—they might treat you to a display of their magnificence by doing their best cartwheel.
Did you know?
The spectacular “tail” that the male peacock spreads out like a fan isn’t actually his tail! It consists mainly of long feathers located above his tail, forming a train that can measure about 1.20 meters.
And this marvel isn’t permanent: the male loses his long tail after the breeding season, and it grows back before the next one. The famous eye-shaped patterns that adorn it even have a name: ocelli. Can you count them when a peacock spreads its tail?
